Update on Protests

The Dalai Lama on Sunday called China's treatment of Tibetan exiles a "cultural genocide."

The spiritual leader spoke at a news conference two days after violent clashes between Chinese security forces and pro-autonomy demonstrators took place in Dharamsala, India. Dharamsala is where the exiled Tibetan government is now headquartered.

A spokesman for the exiled Tibetan government said at least 80 people were killed on Friday. The protests continued outside the Tibetan government's capital this weekend.

Tibet Watch, a group based in Dharamsala, India, told CNN that 34 people have died in the Nwaga County area of Sichuan province in western China.

The dead include women and children, the group said in an e-mail, adding they were killed by Chinese police attempting to stop the protests.

Xinhua, China's official news agency, said police in Tibet are giving protesters until midnight on Monday to "to stop their criminal activities and offering leniency to those who surrender themselves."

"Those who surrender and provide information on other lawbreakers will be exempt from punishment," Xinhua reported the police notice said.

Dalai Lama told BBC news that “There will be more deaths in Tibet, unless Beijing changed it’s policies towards Tibet”.

Osama Bin Laden threatened US by saying “there will be more deaths, unless Washington changes it’s policies towards Mideast”.

Sounds similar?

CIA paid Dalai before 1980s, CIA paid Bin Laden in 1990s. Bin Laden send his people do terror in New York, Dalai send his people do "protests" in Lasa.

Looks like the millions of chinese are out in the virtual world spreading more of their propaganda. Believe it or not, people outside of your communist bubble can actually think for their themselves and come to their own conclusion. Trying to compare Osama with the Dalai Lama would be akin to comparing a Chinese to Mother Teresa. One is a saint while the former is blood sucking, human rights abusing monster. Why do you even think this is happening? Ask your evil government why the Tibetans have been oppressed for so long? You keep abusing people in their own homeland, they will eventually fight back and then all hell will break loose. Tibetans are sick of being non-violent. They've waited almost half a century for progress and they won't take it anymore.

What's wrong with CNN? They never indicated in their reports about the other side of the story? ...That death and destruction in Tibet is partly caused by the Tibetans as well. They specifically targeted innocent Chinese settlers.

The riot in Tibet is similar to the riot in Los Angeles in 1992. Your comments about China: F.
