Pope Benedict arrives in U.S.

Pope Benedict XVI arrived in the United States on Tuesday for his first-ever visit to the country.

The pope is currently in Washington, D.C., but will be traveling to New York on Friday.

On Wednesday at a prayer service, Benedict told leaders of the Roman Catholic church that the clergy sex abuse scandal has sometimes been "very badly handled" by the church.
